In the second episode of The Haunted Hunts new Amazon Prime series, Danny Moss and the team continue their search for the site of the legendary Malkin Tower, an iconic location associated with the infamous Pendle witch trials of 1612.
The third season of The Haunted Hunts follows Danny alongside Rebecca Salisbury-Moss, Emma Dawe, Charlie Rutter, and Roxanne Rutter on their weeklong investigation of Pendle Hill in Lancashire.

This time the team more closely examine the stories of Malkin Tower, which despite its name was a small limestone cottage that was once home to Elizabeth Southerns, also known as Demdike, one of the witches at the centre of the 1612 trials and the location where the infamous trials took place.
Little is known about Malkin Tower other than the fact that it was destroyed and its location was not recorded, but following a credible tip off from a local, Danny takes the team to a dilapidated barn in Barley, which he believes could be stood on the original site of the cottage.
At the start of the episode Danny tells us, "Malkin Tower is key to our investigation, this was Demdike's home and it is believed that strange things went on there, rituals, animals sacrifice, and it is the location of the Good Friday meeting, which is the biggest and best witches' coven in English history."
As well as its possible link to the trials, the barn is also commonly used by modern-day occultists who perform rituals here, especially around Halloween. With so many dark tourists visiting the barn, the team will have to be on their guards as Becki pointed out before the investigation, "we need to be careful because we might run into them ourselves and we don't know what these kind of people are capable of."
While filming at the location during the day on their pre-investigation walk-around, Danny heard several unexplained bangs coming from the upper floor of the property, it was a promising start for the old 18th century stone barn.
Later that night with the cameras switch to night vision, the team started their investigation with what Danny described as "an old school protection ritual" and a group séance around a black candle. While calling out, Danny heard women's voices coming from outside. The sounds put Danny on edge as he wasn't sure if the voices were paranormal or the result of occultists or witchcraft practitioners approaching the building.
Several odd occurrences happened during the séance, some of which were captured on motion-activated night vision cameras.
Later in the investigation, Emma and Rox took part in a Ouija board session in the abandoned barn. Meanwhile Danny and Charlie headed outside to capture still images using a full-spectrum night vision camera and an SLS camera, a device that uses 3D mapping technology to detect human-like shapes in the darkness.
Using these methods the team were unable to capture any further evidence and re-grouped inside. Danny said, that despite it feeling very eerie, "at this current point in time, I'm starting to think that this is not an active location at all."
They changed their approach and Danny pulled out a ghost hunting gadget called the Ovilus V, which is said to allow spirits to communicate by selecting words from a built-in database using their energy. After a few responses the team switch to a new kind of ITC device called the IntraVox.
The device was previously seen in the team's special at Codnor Castle farmhouse and Danny described the device as "by far my favourite piece of equipment."
As the investigation continued they had voices through the IntraVox, witnessed what they thought was shadows moving in the darkness and felt like they were being watched, as well as more unexplained sounds caught on camera.
But despite becoming a bit more lively later into the night, Becki thinks that claims that the spirits of Pendle roam the whole area might be true. She said, "I am still ready to say I'm not convinced this particular building as anything in it, but we've just had undeniable evidence that there is something in this area."
