War In Ukraine Statement

We don't normally get involved in politics and stick to what we do best, writing about the paranormal. However, we feel so strongly about the invasion of Ukraine that we felt we had to do something.

We all want to do what we can to support those who have been forced to flee their homes because of the invasion, but we didn't want to make an empty gesture like changing our profile picture to blue and yellow or putting a Ukrainian flag in the logo of our website.

It's great that people are doing all they can to spread awareness and #StandWithUkraine, but as a service that talks about ghosts and hauntings, it isn't the right platform to be making political statements about such a serious global topic.

Although you might not see us getting involved with the conversation online, we wanted you to know we care. We feel saddened by the events of the last two weeks and feel the best way to help right now is to donate to a trusted charity. So we've donated a whole day's average earnings from Higgypop.com and its sister sites to the Disasters Emergency Committee Ukraine Appeal.

We know that times are hard and that not everyone is in a position to, but if you can, please consider a similar donation of any size even if it's just the equivalent of the price of a cup of coffee.
