The Haunted History Of Rudloe Manor In Corsham

Corsham, Wiltshire

Dating back to 1685, the Manor has a rich history steeped in the paranormal, from legends of ghosts to stories about UFOs. As part of the top secret military base, RAF Rudloe Manor was shrouded in controversy, with rumours swirling around the potential storage of alien crafts in the vast network of underground military tunnels nearby.

Legend has it that two ghosts haunt the Manor, that was abandoned by the MOD in 1998. The first is said to be a German prisoner of war, who was detained at the Manor during World War II. Witnesses to this spectral figure have been so overwhelmed with shock that they required medical attention. The second is the ghost of a young girl dressed in white, believed to have been a serving maid.

Rudloe Manor has now been converted into a residential property, but its legend lives on. Whether it's the mystery surrounding alien crafts or the supernatural occurrences within the Manor's walls, one thing is certain: the Manor has earned its reputation as a hotbed of paranormal activity.
