This Halloween, fans of the British ghost hunting series 'Help! My House Is Haunted' are in for a treat as the show's six-part celebrity spinoff series comes to the free-to-air channel, Really.
'Celebrity Help! My House Is Haunted' premiered on the streaming service, Discovery+ earlier this year but will make its television debut this month. The six episodes follow paranormal investigator Barri Ghai, paranormal researcher and historian Jayne Harris, and exorcist and medium Ian Lawman as they tackle hauntings in the homes of six British celebrities.
The series will air on the Discovery-owned channel, Really, as part of their week-long Halloween programming event, Ghostober. An episode will air every night at 10pm in the run up to Halloween, starting on Monday, October 24 with George Best's ex-wife Alex, who has been tormented by poltergeists moving things around in her house.
As this spinoff series proves, it's not just the public that are plagued with unwanted paranormal activity, celebrity homes are filled with hauntings, too. In a quest like no other, the team are back in a supernatural extravaganza where top ghost-hunting tech and daring divination will reveal the spirits lingering in an eclectic mix of celeb-owned properties.
The format of the show is the same as ever. Ian, the show's psychic medium is always the first to enter the property. He never knows where he is going in advance, and that's still the case. He's kept in the dark about the celebrity homeowner.
As always, the team come together and each apply their own unique skills and differing approaches to the investigation. As a medium, Ian will focus on the energy of the building and use his sixth sense to gain psychic insights, while Jayne delves into the buildings' histories and their documented hauntings.
Barri takes on the role of the tech expert and spends his time trying to validate the paranormal claims relating to the properties with hard evidence. His preferred method of investigation is to attempt to capture electronic voice phenomenon (EVP), which are believed to be spirit voices captured or heard through an electronic device, such as Barri's trusty audio recorder.
