The National Emergency Services Museum - Sheffield, South Yorkshire
Camera man Chris Burton worked on 43 episodes of Most Haunted from 2008, often appearing on camera as well as behind it, but left in 2014 due to other commitments.

He also worked as Director of Photography on six of the show's huge live events, including their mammoth eight-day-long 'Eight Faces Of Evil' investigation over Halloween 2009.

His final investigation with the team at the National Emergency Services Museum in Sheffield was a memorable one. Towards the end of the night, Chris was upstairs with Yvette Fielding and a couple of other members of the team when suddenly he said, "can anyone else smell smoke? Like a fire?" The rest of the team sniffed the air in front of them. Chris continued, "you know, like fire brigade smoke."

The team started hearing lots of knocks and bangs, Yvette said "it's coming from behind Chris every time." Chris didn't seem to like this, he moaned, "don't say that, no."

A few minutes later, Chris spun around with the camera and shouted, "woah, there's footsteps! Come on, you heard that." But Yvette said, "no." There was then a crash and at this point the camera lost all power, bringing Chris' time with the Most Haunted team to an abrupt end.

Since moving on from Most Haunted, Chris has continued to work as a camera man, now specialising in time-lapse cinematography. He's worked on projects as diverse as 'Mister Maker' for CBBC to the 'Paddington 2' movie, and numerous commercials for huge brands like Kelloggs and Toyota.

After leaving the show he put his passion for video to use and started his own business specialising in professional video equipment, some of which is designed with paranormal investigators in mind.
