Jordan Ogle posted a video to YouTube which showed the creepy laughing doll attached to his rubbish bins, he managed to capture the moment when a huge black bear tried to empty out the bin.
As the bear begins to tip the bin the clown comes to life with a creepy laugh and flashing eyes, this was enough to send the bear running.
Many people find clowns terrifying as their costume exaggerate facial features and some body parts, such as hands, feet and noses, these psychical inaccuracies can be read as monstrous or deformed as easily as it can be read as comical.
Perhaps in the case of the bear, it's not so bothered by the clown's goofy clothing and creepy face, but more the alarming sound and light display which kicked in the moment the toy clown came to life.
