Florida Congresswoman Anna Paulina Luna has announced she will be making a major statement tomorrow at 3pm Eastern Time (ET) / 8pm GMT.
Luna first teased this on X on February 3, writing, "I have an announcement next week that will impact the entire nation." The vague wording has fuelled speculation that the announcement could be related to unidentified aerial phenomena (UAPs), commonly known as UFOs.
Luna has previously stated that she believes some UFOs may be of non-human origin, and as a member of the House Committee on Oversight and Reform, she has had access to classified government documents on the subject. This committee has been investigating claims about UFOs and pushing for greater transparency from the US government.
Although Luna has not confirmed that her announcement is related to UAPs, her involvement in
UFO investigations has led many to suspect a connection. Florida Congressman Jared Moskowitz added to the speculation when he cryptically replied to Luna's post with just two words: "I know."
Luna and Moskowitz were both involved in a classified briefing in January, where members of Congress were presented with information regarding claims made by David Grusch. Grusch, a former high-ranking US intelligence official, has alleged that the US government has recovered both crashed UFOs and the bodies of non-human entities. He made these claims under oath in 2023 alongside two other military whistleblowers.
However, the classified nature of these briefings means that lawmakers who attended are legally restricted from publicly discussing what they heard. Reports suggest that even members of Congress left the meeting without a clear picture of what the US government truly knows about extraterrestrial life.
Luna and Moskowitz are also involved in the formation of the UAP Disclosure Act, introduced in 2024, which aims to force the US government to release all documents related to UAPs within 270 days. If Luna's announcement is related to this legislation, it could mark an important moment in the push for government transparency on UFOs.
While UAP disclosure would be major news, some are questioning whether it would live up to Luna's claim that her announcement will "impact the entire nation." If the statement were as ground-breaking as confirming extraterrestrial contact, it would arguably affect the entire world, not just the US This has led some to wonder if the announcement could be unrelated to UAPs after all.
Veteran investigative journalist Ross Coulthart, who has covered many UAP-related stories, weighed in on the speculation. He suggested that the announcement could involve the declassification of long-hidden government secrets, including information on UFOs. However, he admitted that full disclosure would be a "big call" and that there are valid reasons the government might want to keep certain technologies under wraps for national security reasons.
Coulthart speculated that if such an announcement did happen, it might take the form of a statement from a government official - perhaps even former President Donald Trump - acknowledging the existence of non-human intelligence and advanced technology, but stopping short of revealing sensitive details.
For now, all we can do is wait for Luna's press conference and see if tomorrow brings a historic revelation - but don't hold your breath.
