Former US intelligence officer David Grusch claimed that the American government has been hiding evidence of non-human intelligence for nearly a century. In a NewsNation interview, conducted by investigative journalist Ross Coulthart, he claims that authorities are in possession of multiple "non-human" craft.
David Grusch isn't a random conspiracy theorist. He's a decorated former intelligence officer who spent 14 years working with the US Air Force and the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency. Most notably, he was assigned to the Pentagon's official UAP investigation programme - the UAP Task Force, and later the All-domain Anomaly Resolution Office (AARO).
With top-level security clearance and a background in physics, Grusch says he came into the UAP field as a sceptic. He told Coulthart that he had a "high BS factor" and approached the topic with caution. But during his time in the role, he claims to have uncovered shocking evidence that changed his mind.
Grusch has spoken openly about UAPs before, but in this recent interview he goes into more detail, including the staggering claim that the US government possesses multiple "non-human" craft - some crashed, some landed - and has been secretly studying them for decades.
These aren't just speculative sightings, he says. These are physical, tangible technologies, recovered and analysed by a clandestine crash retrieval programme that even his own UAP task force was allegedly denied access to. Grusch refers to the origin of these craft as "non-human intelligence," or NHI. This phrasing avoids assumptions about their origin - whether extraterrestrial, interdimensional, or something else entirely.
When pressed on why he avoids calling them "aliens," Grusch explained that physics allows for theoretical extra dimensions, and that these craft may not be coming from another star system in the traditional sense, but from "a higher dimensional physical space that might be co-located with our own."
Grusch claimed that materials recovered from these objects show signs of exotic engineering - specific isotopic ratios and heavy elements that suggest a non-human origin. While he hasn't seen a craft himself, he says he's spoken to dozens of credible insiders, including individuals who claim to have worked directly on these retrieval efforts.
He also made the explosive claim that in some cases, the remains of "dead pilots" were found - implying biological entities of non-human origin. Again, he insists this information was passed to him by trusted colleagues and supported by documentation, though he admits he cannot make that evidence public due to its classified nature.
Grusch suggests that secrecy and disinformation dates back as far as 1933, when - he says - the first non-human craft was recovered in Magenta, Italy, during Mussolini's regime. According to him, the Catholic Church was involved in discreetly passing information about the incident to the US.
The most famous of all alleged incidents, Roswell in 1947, is also touched upon. Grusch states that he can't share all the details, but he dismisses the official explanation (a weather balloon) as disinformation. He also describes what he sees as a long-running "cold war" between global superpowers, with Russia and China also allegedly operating their own crash retrieval programmes.
Grusch acknowledges that he doesn't have the smoking-gun proof - no photos, no videos, no documents he can publicly share. But he insists this isn't due to a lack of evidence. It's because the most compelling material remains classified. He claims to have provided it all to the Intelligence Community Inspector General (ICIG), who deemed his whistleblower complaint both "urgent and credible."
Grusch also suggests that the secrecy is partly maintained through stigma and ridicule. The topic has been so successfully marginalised over the decades, he argues, that people who try to speak out are seen as cranks - regardless of their credentials.
Grusch told Ross that he doesn't believe all non-human intelligences are necessarily benevolent. He references incidents like the 1967 shutdown of US nuclear missiles at Malmstrom Air Force Base in Montana, which he believes could reflect either scientific curiosity or more concerning behaviour.
More disturbingly, Grusch claims he has been briefed on events where humans were harmed - and possibly even killed - by NHI. He also raises the spectre of secretive agreements between the US government and these entities, although he admits that he doesn't know the full details.
Ross Coulthart, the interviewer, pushes Grusch repeatedly on whether he could be lying, mistaken, or deluded. Grusch flatly denies this, citing his training, psychological stability, and years of methodical investigation. He says he walked away from a prestigious career because he believed it was the right thing to do.
Grusch insists he doesn't want fame or money, and that he's motivated by a sense of duty. He's now forming a scientific foundation to further explore these issues and says he's open to briefing US leaders with the appropriate clearance.
