The Exact Meaning Of The Quote "Everything Is Energy" & How To Match The Frequency Of A Reality You Want

everything is energy and that's all there is to it

You might have seen a quote being shared by paranormal teams that reads:

"Everything is energy and that's all there is to it. Match the frequency of the reality you want and you cannot help but get that reality. It can be no other way. This is not philosophy. This is physics."

But what exactly does this profound-sounding insight into the nature of the universe mean? Is everything really energy and is this really a robust physics or just pseudoscientific philosophy?

The quote originates from a new age author named Darryl Anka, a spiritual channeller who claims to be able to speak to a multi-dimensional being called Bashar. Already this should be ringing alarm bells, a new age author and spiritualist is never the best source of any kind of scientific knowledge.

Perhaps the most worrying part of this quote is the line "this is not philosophy, this is physics." This quote is also commonly misattributed to Albert Einstein, the famous German-born theoretical physicist, who famously doesn't believe in ghosts. Circulating a quote that contains misinformation and is credited to the wrong source is unethical and dangerous.

The fact the same quote is being circulated online attributed to two different people also goes to show how important it is to fact check anything that gets shared on social media.
Einstein \"Everything Is Energy\" Quote

Using terms like 'energy', 'frequency' and 'vibration' with a spiritual connotation to refer to the human spirit and the supernatural has become commonplace to a point where it's almost acceptable, but this sort of energy is not measurable, detectable or recognised by scientist. In the paranormal community, the technical term 'energy' is reappropriated as a term for emotional states. It's used as a metaphor for less tangible human experiences such as the perception of a presence, a sinister atmosphere or a negative vibe.

It could be the case that people can mentally tune into other people or objects around them, perhaps even other realities, but this still isn't physics, it's spiritualism or psychology at best.

However, there is one scientific fact in the quote and it's literally the first three words - "everything is energy."

The relationship between matter, the stuff that makes up everything around us, and energy is understood by scientists and falls into the realms of mainstream physics. To throw in a genuine quote that is valid physics, Einstein once said, "it followed from the special theory of relativity that mass and energy are both but different manifestations of the same thing โ€” a somewhat unfamiliar conception for the average mind."

Just because these opening words of the Darryl Anka quote are true doesn't mean the rest makes any sense, despite using various scientific buzz words. It's perfectly acceptable to talk about frequency in connection to energy, but to talk about matching a frequency as a human doesn't make sense.

No one has the ability to alter their own frequency either consciously, subconsciously or through the use of technology. You should be able to understand why yourself if you try out the quick activity below. Just follow the simple steps based on the quote and see how you get on.

1. Sit in a comfy chair in a silent room away from distractions

2. Think of the reality you want and focus on its frequency

3. Relax and concentrate on matching your frequency to the frequency of your chosen reality

These three steps directly describe the process explained in the quote, "match the frequency of the reality you want and you cannot help but get that reality."

How did you get on? You shouldn't have had a problem with step one, but step two might be more challenging. Did you manage to focus on the frequency of another reality? Attempting to work out what the frequency of another reality is an impossible task, after all can you even determine what the frequency of this reality is? Probably not.

If somehow you do have an insight into the frequency of alternative realities and you made it to step three, then you might have been stopped in your tracks when you tried to alter your own frequency to match.

The problem is, you don't have one unique frequency that your body or mind vibrates at, and even if you did there is no way to psychically change it. Your body's frequency is a result of resonance frequencies of the atoms it is made up of. For example the frequency of a hydrogen atom is 1,420,405,752 Hz.

This frequency is defined by the elements in your body, you can't change any of these frequencies without changing the substances that your body is made out of. It's a bit of an abstract concept, but if you did manage to tune your whole body to the same frequency, you'd probably turn into one single element, perhaps a gas like nitrogen and simply drift away and cease to exist.
Paranormal Energy & Frequency

Ignoring all of these issues with the quote, its biggest failing is the fact that it doesn't offer any intelligible conclusion or outcome. Even if you could match your frequency to that of "the reality you want," the quote tells you that "you cannot help but get that reality." What get means is left open to interpretation. Does it mean you'll be able to see glimpses of another reality? That you'll be transported to an alternate dimension? That another plane of existence will some how be drawn to you? This key piece if information is left intentionally vague.

If it weren't for the very deliberate use of the term "reality" the meaning of the quote could be inferred to relate to the law of attraction, the belief that positive or negative thoughts bring positive or negative experiences into a person's life.

However, the most obvious definition of "reality" in the context of this quote is alternative realities or dimensions. This would make sense since Darryl Anka who penned the quote is a believer in multi-dimensional beings, which presumably can exist in several realities. In this context, the quote can't be connected to the law of attraction.

So that only really leaves us with the inferred meaning of communicating with or travelling to alternate realities by matching your frequency to that of the reality you want to attract. Something which as discussed above doesn't fall within the realms of physics.
