'Ghost Hunters' Returns For New Season & Grant Wilson Is Back

Grant Wilson returns with a team of paranormal experts for a brand new season of 'Ghost Hunters', one of the most successful paranormal series of all time.

It's been almost three years since 'Ghost Hunters' graced out screens, but it's been announced this week that the long-running ghost hunting show is set to return this August, fronted by the show's original team leader, Grant Wilson.

'Ghost Hunters' returns with a new team, better tech and more answers. The first of 20 new episodes will premiere on US television network A&E on August 21st.

A teaser trailer for the new season was posted online in June, which excited fans of the show with the chilling revelation that "in recent years, reports of aggressive paranormal activity have increased nationwide." The team are back to try to get to the bottom of this activity.

'Ghost Hunters' originally aired 15 years ago and went on to terrify and captivate its audience for 11 seasons with its authentic take on paranormal investigation and is one of the most successful paranormal series of all time.

Grant, who has previously appeared in over 150 episodes of the show, has put together a new handpicked team of professional ghost hunters in order to investigate hauntings across the United States. They aim to help everyday people who are struggling with unexplained supernatural phenomena.

The series revival will consist of 20 new episode featuring the new crew working alongside Grant, which includes paranormal investigators Daryl Marston, Kristen Luman, Brandon Alvis, Mustafa Gatollari, Brian Murray and Richel Stratton.

A&E also announced plenty more for fans of paranormal television this week. A reimagined versions the supernatural hit series 'Psychic Kids' will immediately follow 'Ghost Hunters' on Wednesday, August 21st.

Ten years ago, 'Psychic Kids' chronicled the journeys of children who were learning to control their extraordinary abilities - and it changed their lives. In eight all new episodes, those original kids, who are now successful young adults, will work to empower a new generation of young psychics.

The channel have also green-lit a new series of 'Celebrity Ghost Stories', as well as two brand new paranormal shows, which are being produced under the working titles 'Trey the Texas Medium' and 'World's Biggest Ghost Hunt'.

Meanwhile, Grant's former 'Ghost Hunters' co-star, Jason Hawes, has been brought back together with Dave Tango and Steve Gonsalves by the Travel Channel for a brand new paranormal series called 'Ghost Nation'.
