Ghostober Returns To The Travel Channel For Halloween 2020
This article is more than four years old and was last updated in April 2022.
'Ghost Adventures: Horror At Joe Exotic Zoo,' 'The Osbournes: Night Of Terror' and 'Ghost Nation: Reunion In Hell' lead Travel Channel's third annual paranormal programming event.
The US Travel Channel is this year continuing its tradition of bringing a month of spine-chilling programming throughout October, with tales of poltergeists, ghostly creatures and even demons.
There's no word as yet whether any of the new episodes or specials will air in the UK over Halloween, but in recent months Travel's British sister station Really has been catching up to the US channel.
Over the last year we've seen the networks bring the premieres of new shows and episodes closer together for American and British audiences. If this trend continues into October, it could mean that British fans of the paranormal will get to see the big US specials this year too.
The schedule is made up of brand new premieres of new series, Halloween specials and returning favourites.
Ghostober culminates with "7 Nights Of Fright", which kicks off on Sunday, October 25 with the top 20 spookiest unexplained videos in the world with the two-hour finale of 'Paranormal Caught On Camera: Top 100'.
The seven nights continues with a lineup of supersized Shock Doc specials focusing on two of the USA's most infamous haunting cases. 'Amityville Horror House' premiers on Monday and 'The Exorcism Of Roland Doe' airs the following night.
Then, viewers will celebrate the season with many of Travel Channel's ghost-hunting talent featured in the new 'Shock Docs' tell-all holiday special, 'This Is Halloween' on Wednesday.
Thursday brings fans of the paranormal Zak Bagans and his team in a new two-hour special, 'Ghost Adventures: Horror At Joe Exotic Zoo'. The crew go inside the infamous Greater Wynnewood Exotic Animal Park to investigate sinister accounts of ghostly activity. The special is then followed by the season two return of 'The Holzer Files', reopening famed ghost hunter Hans Holzer's original case files.
The goosebumps continue on Friday with a sneak peek of the new season of 'Portals To Hell', starring Katrina Weidman and Jack Osbourne. The duo investigate what might just be the most haunted place in all of Connecticut. And then, in a special two-hour holiday treat, the whole Osbourne family joins in on the fun. Adamant on truly living up to their position as America's first family of darkness, Jack Osbourne takes Ozzy, Sharon and Kelly on their first-ever paranormal investigation in 'The Osbournes: Night of Terror'.
Then on the big night itself, Saturday, October 31, Travel Channel wraps up Ghostober with the ultimate series crossover featuring superstar paranormal investigators from two of the network's hit shows, 'Ghost Nation' and 'Kindred Spirits'. The ghost-hunting teams reunite for the first time in nearly a decade to explore frightening activity inside an illustrious Newport, Rhode Island, mansion in 'Ghost Nation: Reunion in Hell'.
The programming event ends with a chilling new episode of 'Destination Fear' later on Halloween night, where the team will spend a terrifying night inside the abandoned Old Crow Distillery in Frankfort, Kentucky.
