Ghost Terrifies Little Girl By Moving Objects Video

This article is more than seven years old.

A video has surfaced online of a young girl being tormented by a poltergeist. The ghost appears to possess a doll, making it move before throwing paper and other items around the room.

The footage is said to have been recorded by the girl's father who installed a camera when the girl complained of strange happenings. The video is made up of two clips of the girl alone in different rooms.

The clip was recorded in September 2016 (according to the timestamp) and uploaded to 'La Otra Dimensión' a Spanish speaking Facebook page by Julio Cesar Alvarez Perez in December, but has started going viral in the first few weeks of 2017.

In the first clip the security camera shows the young girl sat on the floor playing with her toys, while towards the corner of the room another doll sits alone.

The girl is distracted by her toys so doesn't notice the moment the the doll’s head begins to move and turn.

In the second half of the video things start to get a bit more serious. The girl can be seen drawing on a sheet of paper on a coffee table in the living room.

This time the girl can't fail to miss the paranormal activity taking place around her as a pile of spare paper blows towards her by a strong breeze of unknown origin.

The girl runs from the room but the activity doesn't stop there, more objects from the table start being thrown around before the whole table itself slides across the floor.

Of course the video, which has now been viewed over six million times, is a fake, if this were "real" ghost footage then it would be the first of it's kind but certainly not the last, this father could make an absolute fortune letting out his house to allow scientists and paranormal researchers to duplicate these results... but there is no other video.

Like all of these kind of videos, the source is unknown. No one knows where it was shot, who the father is, who the daughter is and when the events supposedly happened.

For me the giveaway to it being a fake is the sound in the second clip. If a father sets up security camera in his own house, it's unlikely it would be able to capture the sound of paper moving four meters away, the paper is too loud in the video. These sounds have either been captured with a professional camera (not a cheap impromptu security camera) or the sounds have been added in after.

It also looks like there's some cuts in the video, yet the timer on the top-right of the screen doesn't jump forward in time. But the the timer and "cam 1" has clearly been added on to the clip after recording anyway, I assume to make it look more realistic.

There's also some strange camera movement towards the end of the video and it looks like image stabilisation has been used to try to hide this but that process actually stretches and warps the images in places, revealing that it has been digitally doctored in some way.

Julio who shot the clip has dismissed claims of fakery in a public comment, "to all [who] say this is fake, I would like to see your face if any of this happened to you or worse, your daughter."
