New Glowing Ink Will Allow Ghost Hunters To Read Haunted Magazine More Easily In The Dark

The team at Haunted Magazine have come up with a bright idea to solve an age-old problem that paranormal investigators hunting ghosts in the dark will be familiar with.
A high proportion of the award-winning magazine's readership are active ghost hunters and often take a copy of the magazine to read during those quiet down times during a ghost hunt when they find themselves sat around waiting for a spook to appear.
Of course, the problem is ghost hunters tend to work in the dark, which makes reading a magazine difficult, but the magazine's editor, Paul Stevenson has come up with a solution... a glow-in-the-dark magazine.
The mag's designer, Andy Soar, has spent the last 18 months researching futuristic printing techniques in the hopes that this latest idea will see the light of day. Andy has settled on an experimental new ink developed by a team lead by former 'Dragon's Den' investor, Theo Paphitis.
The new ink uses Pigment Induced Glow technology, or PIG, and will help light up the magazine's pages even in the darkest of haunted locations.
Although this new breakthrough is impressive, Paul has warned that some text-heavy articles might be overwhelmingly bright and therefore the first glow-in-the-dark edition of the magazine will come with a free pair of sunglasses.
Glowing pages aren't the only innovation the team have made over the last year. A recent edition celebrating the release of Nick Frost and Simon Pegg's 'Truth Seekers' featured a pull-out for the very first time. 'The White Sheet' pull-out was a re-creation of the fictional magazine that features in the Amazon Prime series.
The team continued the trend in the first edition of 2021 by giving readers a bonus 'UFO Today' pull-out magazine, a timely supplement reflecting the growing buzz around UFOs which seems to be emerging within the paranormal community within the last few months.
Last month the mag announced that for the first time ever the latest issues will be available to readers in the US thanks to a new deal with Barnes & Noble which will see the magazine stocked in 500 stores in the United States.
Haunted Magazine is a must-read for any fan of the paranormal. Each well designed issue covers the full ghostly spectrum, from articles about the latest trends in paranormal investigation to interviews with the stars of ghost hunting TV shows, and supernatural movie news. The magazine is available both digitally and in physical print as a one-off purchase or annual subscriptions.
We're sure the team have plenty more breakthrough innovations ahead of them. For example, having recently researched their audience and discovered that a large number of their readers are submariners, the team are now planning to produce a full submersible waterproof magazine for a future edition. Although the difficulty might be getting the mag to readers, as we're pretty sure submarines don't have letterboxes.
