Harvard Scientists Suggest The Possibility Of Hidden Alien Civilisations On Earth

A recent paper from a team of researchers at Harvard and Montana Technological University has proposed an idea that is likely to spark debate within the scientific community. The researchers speculate that sightings of Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena (UAP), commonly known as UFOs, could indicate the presence of intelligent beings concealed on Earth. These beings might be underground, on the Moon, or even walking among us disguised as humans.

The researchers acknowledge that this hypothesis of hidden "cryptoterrestrials" is highly exotic and "likely to be regarded sceptically by most scientists." However, they argue that the theory deserves genuine consideration with an open and humble approach to knowledge.

Interest in unexplained sightings of UFOs, particularly by military personnel, has significantly increased over the past decade. This attention reached a peak last summer when David Grusch, a former Air Force intelligence officer, testified before Congress. Grusch claimed that the US has been involved in a long-term UFO retrieval program and has already recovered alien spacecraft.

Even NASA has begun to investigate mysterious, high-speed objects that military pilots have reported over the years. Despite numerous Pentagon reports, there is still no concrete evidence of extraterrestrial life.

However, the Harvard researchers remain undeterred. Their paper suggests several possibilities, each more speculative than the last. One possibility is that a remnant of an ancient, advanced human civilisation still exists, observing us. Another idea is that an intelligent species, possibly evolving from "intelligent dinosaurs," developed independently of humans and is now hiding from us. They also consider that these hidden beings could have arrived from another planet or time period. Lastly, they even entertain the notion that these entities might be "less technological than magical," akin to "earthbound angels."

The paper notes that UFO sightings, such as "craft and other phenomena (e.g., 'orbs') appearing to enter/exit potential underground access points, like volcanoes," could suggest these cryptoterrestrials might live in underground or underwater bases. This could also explain sighting of lesser-reported Unidentified Submerged Objects (USO) in our oceans and other bodies of water.

The researchers quote former House Representative Mike Gallagher, who last year suggested that UFO sightings might be explained by "an ancient civilisation that's just been hiding here, for all this time, and is suddenly showing itself right now."

The researchers also speculate that these cryptoterrestrials could take on different, non-human forms, including non-human primates or reptiles. They even consider the possibility that these beings might be hiding on the Moon or have mastered blending in as humans, a theory popular in science fiction.

The idea isn't too different to the slightly more out-there "hollow moon" and the closely related "spaceship moon" theories, which proposes that the Moon is an artefact created by an alien civilisation.

While these hypotheses are "far-fetched" and should be approached with skepticism, the researchers believe they should not be dismissed outright. "We entertain them here because some aspects of UAP are strange enough that they seem to call for unconventional explanations," the paper states.
