The second official trailer for the hugely anticipated horror sequel 'It: Chapter 2' has dropped and sent Twitter into a trembling mess.
Jessica Chastain, James McAvoy, Bill Hader and the "Losers' Club" face off against Pennywise in one final showdown.
Pennywise, the evil shape-shifting clown, has been named one of the ten most terrifying horror movie characters of all time, and in September he returns to the big screen. Chapter 2 is set twenty-seven years after the events of the 2017 movie, and the Losers Club have grown up and moved away, until a devastating phone call brings them back.
Pennywise first gave us nightmares when Stephen King published 'It' in 1986. The novel became a two-part miniseries in 1990. It featured Tim Curry playing the role of Pennywise, one of many different forms a demonic, shape-shifting alien entity has taken.
'It' received the honour of having a new version made in 2017, but the new movie only told the first half of the story. Savvy cinema-goers who were familiar with the original story knew that there was plenty move to come.
The second teaser trailer was dropped on Thursday and quickly became a top trend. It shows Swedish actor Bill Skarsgård reprising his role as the evil clown and teases more terrifying encounters with him in the town of Derry, Maine.
Bill Skarsgård stated in an interview that even after filming had wrapped, he would have nightmares of Pennywise. In these nightmares he would have to battle Pennywise just as the characters in the film do.
First Official Trailer
Bill Hader was approached for the role of Richie Tozier based on Finn Wolfhard's suggestion. Finn played the younger version of Richie in the last movie and is probably best known for his role in the Netflix series, 'Stranger Things'. Hader, who had never met Wolfhard, was extremely flattered that Wolfhard wanted him to take on the role.
Just because the kids are now all grown up, it doesn't mean we've seen the last of Finn and his co-stars. The kids will be making appearances in some flashback scenes.
