Hulu is gearing up to deliver a new dose of spooky content this October, by adding another ghostly series to their "Huluween" lineup. 'Living for the Dead' is set to premiere on the streaming service on October 18. The series is executive produced by Kristen Stewart, who is no stranger to the supernatural, both on and off-screen.
Kristen Stewart, best known for her role in the 'Twilight' saga, has openly expressed her beliefs in the supernatural. In a Vanity Fair interview, she disclosed not only her belief in ghosts but also her personal interactions with them. "If I'm in a weird, small town, making a movie, and I'm in a strange apartment, I will literally be like, 'no, please, I cannot deal. Anyone else, but it cannot be me.' Who knows what ghosts are, but there is an energy that I'm really sensitive to. Not just with ghosts, but with people. People stain rooms all the time," Stewart said.
'Living for the Dead' is not your typical paranormal series. The show features a vibrant cast of five queer ghost hunters: Alex Le May, Juju Bae, Ken Boggle, Logan Taylor, and Roz Hernandez. This diverse team roams across the United States to explore some of the most notorious haunted locations, pushing the boundaries of interaction with both the living and the deceased.
What makes this series especially unique is its roots in queer culture. Produced by the creators of 'Queer Eye', this programme promises a fresh and intersectional look at ghost hunting, a field often dominated by straight, white males, especially in its portrayal on television.
To get a taste of this innovative ghost-hunting experience, the official trailer is already live and can be viewed below. 'Living For The Dead' will be available to watch in the US on streaming service Hulu from October 18.
