Most Haunted Episodes Filmed In The South East Of England

Since Yvette Fielding and her team of ghost hunters first appeared on our televisions in 2002, they've visited hundreds of haunted locations around the country, including a total of 27 episodes filmed in the South East.

The region is a hotbed for paranormal activity. It's home to a pub which is said to be the most haunted in the whole country, has two creepy underground locations, and is the location of the team's first ever investigation for the show's pilot episode at Michelham Priory, Eastbourne.

As well as these 27 episodes, the team also came to the South East for several 'Most Haunted Live!' shows, including Dover Castle, Beaulieu Abbey, Epping Forest, as well as three-night-long live investigations in Essex and Portsmouth.

Series 1, Episode 16: Michelham Priory, Eastbourne ‐ Pilot episode

In what was the original pilot episode, the Most Haunted team travel to Hailsham, East Sussex to visit a former priory converted into a house. It is said that many of the families that have lived there have suffered tragedy.

The team investigates the Clock House in Surrey, where medium Derek Acorah senses strange goings-on and picks up the name of Ruth. A conversation with the property's owner, Fred Batt, reveals that the mysterious woman could be a 1950s hostess who is said to haunt his London nightclub, Caesar's.

To mark the shows 100th edition, Yvette Fielding and the team return to Michelham Priory, East Sussex, where they filmed the first of Most Haunted. She spends the night at the former Augustine Priory, before David Wells and guest psychic Ian Shillito join the team for a vigil.
