Higgypop Paranormal Entertainment Awards 2020
The Paranormal Entertainment Awards return for their third year in October. The only paranormal awards celebrates the efforts of paranormal content creators, publishers, hosts and broadcasters in the UK and around the world.

2020 has been a year like no other, we've all faced challenges, missed our friends and had to adapt to a new and restrictive way of life. The 2020 pandemic has affected all aspects of our lives, including the paranormal world, which for our readers is a passion and something they immerse themselves in on a daily basis.

Some of the biggest paranormal movies due to hit cinemas have had their releases delayed, paranormal teams helped save lives by staying home and taking a break from ghost hunting, and paranormal events companies were forced to temporarily part ways to their loyal customers.

Despite all of this, the paranormal community has found ways to adapt, to keep audiences entertained and kept the discussion and debates about ghosts going.

This year's awards will recognise these efforts and  celebrate the best content created for traditional broadcast, online streaming, social and print, as well as celebrating the creators and teams behind that content.

Over the last two years we've counted up over 100,000 votes and this year, once again, we'll be asking you to vote for the spooky entertainment that's you've enjoyed the most over the last twelve months. The shortlisted nominees will be spread across several categories honouring ghost hunting television shows, supernatural movies, documentaries, podcasts and more.

Voting for the third annual Paranormal Entertainment Awards will open on November 1, with this year's winners being announced on Sunday November 29, 2020.

Before that, we're going to be asking you to help us compile the shortlist by nominating your favourite teams and pieces of work from the paranormal world. We'll be accepting nominations from the beginning of October. Nominated content, shows and teams must have been active during the awards year, which runs from November 1, 2019 until October 31, 2020.
