Ghost Attack
A creepy video has been uploaded to YouTube which shows the moment a ghost attacks an unaware teenager while he reads a book at home.

Not much in known about the eerie clip which shows the teen walking in to the room of his house, picking up a pick and reading it while stood in front of a closed door. Without warning and without the guy knowing, the door behind him is flung open by an unknown force.

Before he knows it, the teen is attacked by a shadowy figure and dragged across the room, kicking and screaming.

Despite going viral, it seems most YouTube users aren't taken in by the black and white security footage, one user sarcastically commented...

So, what's the truth behind this video?

Sadly, this isn't a real ghost video, it's just another internet hoax and as always, all the clues are there.

The video is very well made in terms of special effects, it looks convincing but it's not staged very well, as one comment on YouTube points out...
"Why would a "ghost" need to open a door?"
John
As John points out, why would a ghost need to open a door? It's clear that the creator of this video though more about what effects they could create rather than thinking about the context and setting. The fact the guy just stands in front of the door reading, the fact the door opens, it's all a little obvious.

Like with most videos of this type, the security footage has a date code in the top corner and the label "CAMC02", this security camera-style labelling is a stock effect in the video editing software Final Cut.
