Help! My House Is Haunted Series 7, Episode 4
The 'Help! My House Is Haunted' team is terrified when the ghostly victim of a 1700s murder appears to push over a storage cabinet. The unprovoked incident occurred in episode four of the brand-new series, which is available to stream along with all episodes now exclusively on Discovery+.

The team - consisting of Ian Lawman, Jayne Harris, and Barri Ghai - were called in by farm shop manager Hannah and her family, who moved onto an apple orchard with a shop, outbuildings, and butchery in Churt, Surrey, on land once owned by the former British Prime Minister, David Lloyd George.

It wasn't long before Hannah started noticing unnerving paranormal activity. Unexplained shadows, slender apparitions in the apple orchard and unprovoked movement in the butchery – Hannah has understandably started to fear for her young family's safety. She hopes the team can uncover any dark history of the land that might still be causing supernatural havoc today.

During part of the investigation, Barri was attempting to capture the form of the spirit on camera when, completely unprovoked, a large storage cabinet next to him in the bedroom fell to the floor, with clothes scattering all over the room. Barri believes this dramatic incident could have been caused by "Woody," a name the team have linked to a notorious murder which happened on the property in the 1700s.

"Is this Woody trying to get our attention? What is he trying to tell us?" Barri questions, shocked.
Speaking about her haunted home in the episode, Hannah said, "It is a fantastic vibe during the day... however, things definitely change when the sun sets. That's where it starts to get creepy. Once it hits 5pm, you do get the feeling it's not my shop anymore, and it's someone else's and they want you out," a concerned Hannah explains what she experiences in one of the outbuildings. "As soon as you open that barn door, you feel like you're being watched... one day standing there right in front of our furnace was a man... after doing a lot of research, this land was owned by David Lloyd George," Hannah reveals. Could the mysterious vision of a man be the ghost of the former prime minister, or are there other, more sinister presences patrolling the land? "It gets worse, as it's now affecting my seven-year-old daughter... she's told me, 'Mummy, there's a man in my bedroom'. I don't know how to protect my children... where does it end?" Hannah questions, visibly disturbed.

Hoping to establish communication with Edward or Woody, the team heads to the farm shop's butchery, where Hannah has experienced the majority of the unnerving spiritual activity. "Hannah, you're not going to like me very much... but we're going to leave you alone in that butchery. We're going to run a spirit box in there to see if they will communicate with you," Barri says, setting out their plan of action as they put Hannah in a blindfold to heighten her other senses.

Watching from the nerve centre, the team sees Hannah immediately experiencing distress in the butchery. "Somebody just wiggled the back of my chair," Hannah exclaims, alerting the team. "Who's standing next to me? Somebody's moving my chair... it's got so cold... why are you trying to intimidate me?" Hannah shrieks. Sensing Hannah's discomfort, Barri heads straight back to the butchers to calm her down, whilst also wanting to see whether certain objects trigger responses from the spirits present. "I want to see how Edward reacts to this butcher's knife," explains Barri, before the communication device immediately responds with the word 'knife'. "Are you trying to hurt me?" Hannah calls out. Another immediate, harrowing response rings through: "YES..."

Aware of the danger that Hannah could now find herself in by remaining on the property, the team send her away for the night so that they can conduct their further investigations in the farmhouse without her. Jayne informs Ian and Barri of her theory as to the spirit present – something that she had decided not to worry Hannah with. "I need to tell you both there was something that I was holding back while Hannah was with us because I didn't want to scare her or worry her into thinking that there may be the spirit of a murderer communicating with her daughter..."

Jayne explains that she believes two spirits are at play – 'Edward' murdered 'Woody' on the farmland in the 1700s, and 'Woody' is trying to warn Hannah about the danger Edward poses to her and her family.

Later, the team heads back to the butchery, desperate for answers as to whether this intimidating spirit is the 1700s murderer Jayne believes to be 'Edward'. With knocks on the ceiling, items rattling on shelves and scratching on the wall, something's just not right. Attempting to provoke a reaction from Edward, Ian begins to call out a prayer. Immediately, the chains hanging on the butcher's door frame mysteriously begin rattling, bringing the room into a state of shock. "This is dangerously escalating, I need to banish Edward with an exorcism prayer," Ian exclaims. As the chains continue to rattle and the room continues to shake, the spirit even tells the team to "fk off" via their communication technology.

You can watch the full investigation in the fourth episode of the brand-new series of 'Help! My House Is Haunted', with all episodes available to stream exclusively on Discovery+ now.
