There's something wicked returning to Nottingham this Halloween. The Labyrinth, an experience that has previously struck fear into even the bravest of souls, is back with a vengeance.
Every Halloween, within the legendary realm of Harvestville, a chilling spectacle emerges: 'The Corn Evil'. This isn't just any carnival. It's a harrowing challenge where the carnival performers, known for their heightened sensitivity to sound, become hunters in a perilous game. As the sun sets, the labyrinthine corn maze beckons adventurers to solve its riddles in utter silence. Any noise could spell doom.
This heart-pounding experience offers more than just an adrenaline rush; it's a genuine test of both courage and wits. As the moon casts shadows on the towering cornstalks, intrepid visitors must navigate the eerie, winding paths, trying to unravel the carnival's dark mysteries without making a sound. The stakes? Make a noise, and face the wrath of the concealed performers.
This year, the event promises to be larger and more terrifying than ever. Running over four nights, from Saturday, 28 October to Halloween night, The Labyrinth will sprawl across 12 acres of maize maze, providing hours of spine-chilling fun with enigmatic clues and eerie riddles around every corner. However, a word of caution for the faint-hearted: this event is strictly for those aged 14 and above.
Whilst The Labyrinth might be too intense for younger attendees, they don't have to miss out on the Halloween festivities. A separate, family-friendly Halloween event is scheduled for late October 2023. More details about the 'Tricker Treat Maize' can be found here.
For those intrepid enough to attend, there are some key pointers to bear in mind. Waterproof clothing is essential, as the maze is situated outdoors, and rain won't lead to ticket refunds. As for logistics, free parking is available on site. Gates open punctually at 6pm, and the last adventurers are permitted entry at 10pm. It's worth noting that The Labyrinth's gates shut firmly at 10pm on each event night, so it's crucial to find your way out before then.
For both thrill-seekers and horror aficionados, 'The Corn Evil' guarantees an unforgettable evening of frights and anticipation. As the event approaches, one question looms: Do you possess the nerve to traverse the silent pathways and emerge unscathed?
Tickets are on sale for multiple entry times. Secure yours now via The Labyrinth's official website. The spine-tingling experience is set at Lime Lane Woods, Lime Lane, Arnold, Nottingham, NG5 8PW. Don't miss the most haunting event of the season.
