A NewsNation special airing tomorrow is set to feature Jake Barber, a former Air Force helicopter pilot who claims to have participated in a covert military programme focused on retrieving unidentified anomalous phenomena (UAP) or alien craft. Barber, who says he has video evidence and support from former colleagues, alleges that he encountered and retrieved non-human technology during his service.
In a preview aired ahead of the special that airs on Saturday, January 18 at 8pm Eastern time, journalist Elizabeth Vargas described the revelations as "another major exclusive," highlighting that Barber is "not just saying he's heard about a secret government programme to retrieve UFO crash remains - he says he's worked on this programme." Vargas added, "He claims to have video to prove it, credentialed colleagues who back him up, and he has the attention of at least one senior lawmaker."
The NewsNation report, led by investigative journalist Ross Coulthart, is the culmination of more than a year of research.
Barber claims that he was contracted as a helicopter pilot to recover various crash sites. While some of the debris was identified as terrestrial and top secret, Barber maintains that other incidents involved craft he believes to be of non-human origin.
Making Barber's claims all the more compelling is the fact that NewsNation has three other military veterans backing up his story on the record and on camera.
A preview of Coulthart's interview with Barber provides more detail about his extraordinary experiences. Coulthart asked Barber to recount the moment he realised he was involved in the retrieval of alien technology. Barber replied, "It became very clear the first time our communication process and procedure was modified. And then just visually looking at the object on the ground, you could tell that it was extraordinary and anomalous. It was not human."
Barber went on to describe the unusual craft in detail, saying, "I saw an egg, a white egg." He noted that the object lacked any visible propulsion system or thermal signature, adding, "I was operating at night under night vision goggles. It was quite clear. I flipped them up and down, looking at it a couple of different ways."
When asked how he knew the object was of non-human origin, Barber pointed to its unprecedented design and his team's reaction. "After seeing all kinds of things in my past, it was clear this was something ridiculous-looking, inconsistent with anything I'd ever seen before. The reaction by my team - we all knew we were dealing with something extraordinary."
Barber also claims that ranking members of the UAP Task Force later confirmed the object he retrieved that night was indeed of non-human origin, referred to as NHI (non-human intelligence). "This was not a unique experience," the pilot added, suggesting that the retrieval of anomalous craft may be more common than previously believed.
The upcoming NewsNation special promises to reveal exclusive video footage from one of these retrieval operations, footage that has never before been seen by the public. Additionally, the network confirmed that Barber has met with high-level Senate staff to discuss his experiences.
As public and governmental interest in UAP continues to grow, this special could mark a significant moment in the ongoing debate over the existence of extraterrestrial life and its interaction with Earth. On the other hand, the veteran could have merely been sent to retrieve a downed foreign craft or some experimental military technology - the fact he couldn't identify it doesn't necessarily mean it's technology of non-human origin.
After all, being a military pilot doesn't make Barber an infallible witness. He is not an aerospace engineer and is not necessarily privy to technologies in development. His superiors may have even allowed Barber's belief that he was dealing with a UFO to propagate as a means of an internal cover story.

Thanks! I was thinking it was Saturday today. I've corrected that.

I'm skeptical for now, but interested to hear what he has to say. I don't just assume everyone is a liar, I haven't and can't make my mind up yet. The skepticism was an attempt at balance, not an opinion, but I don't automatically take everything to be true at face value - far too much fake news around for that nowadays. read more

For the record... I'm not saying that Jake Barber is a bad witness as such, but being a former pilot doesn't automatically make you a good witness. I'm not saying that Jake Barber is a bad witness as such, but being a former pilot doesn't automatically make you a good witness.
