Watch The New Trailer For 'M3GAN 2.0' As The Killer Doll Returns With A Deadly Rival

The first trailer for 'M3GAN 2.0' has dropped, giving fans a first look at the return of the android doll that caused chaos in 2023. The new film is set for release in cinemas on June 27, 2025.
The trailer picks up two years after the events of the original film, in which the artificially intelligent doll M3GAN went rogue. Her creator, Gemma (played by Allison Williams), is now a prominent voice calling for stronger regulation of A.I. Meanwhile, her niece Cady (Violet McGraw), now a teenager, is struggling with her own issues and testing boundaries under Gemma's care.

Although M3GAN was thought to be destroyed, the technology behind her has resurfaced. A powerful defence contractor has repurposed it to create a new, military-grade android named Amelia, played by Ivanna Sakhno. Designed to be an infiltration and assassination tool, Amelia quickly begins to evolve beyond her intended function - posing a new threat that Gemma never saw coming.
As Amelia's programming spirals out of control, the only solution may be to bring back M3GAN herself. The trailer shows glimpses of the upgraded doll, faster and more dangerous than before, as she prepares to take on this new rival.
The film is written and directed by returning filmmaker Gerard Johnstone, based on a story by Johnstone and Akela Cooper. It is produced by horror veterans James Wan and Jason Blum, alongside Allison Williams.
Also returning are Brian Jordan Alvarez and Jen Van Epps as Gemma's tech colleagues, Cole and Tess. New cast members include Aristotle Athari, Timm Sharp, and Jemaine Clement.
'M3GAN 2.0' is a follow-up to the hugely successful M3GAN, which was released in early 2023. The original film earned more than $180 million worldwide and had the biggest opening weekend for a PG-13 horror film since 'A Quiet Place Part II'.
