The BBC has released the trailer for the highly anticipated series 'Paranormal: The Village That Saw Aliens', set to return to BBC Three and BBC Wales. This new instalment follows the success of 'Paranormal: The Girl, The Ghost & The Gravestone', which aired last year.
You can watch the trailer below and delve into the world of UFOs and extraterrestrial mysteries with Sian.
The series, hosted by BBC Radio 1 presenter Sian, dives into a mysterious wave of UFO sightings and close encounters in a Welsh village. The intriguing events started with a sighting by 14 schoolboys and escalated into what is claimed to be the largest mass sighting in British history.
Sian expressed her excitement about the new series: "It was a thrill to fly into a new celestial realm in the paranormal universe. The world of UFOs, extra-terrestrial activity, and other theories around what could exist in our skies is vast, intriguing, and ominous. It's been eye-opening to explore such open-ended issues and this series continues to challenge my beliefs - I can't wait for its launch so viewers can make up their own minds on the case."
The story, which garnered global attention, spans from the 1970s to the 1980s, is the perfect case for the Welsh presenter. It involving numerous unexplained and terrifying sightings along the south and west coast of Wales. These reports ranged from the initial UFO sighting by the schoolboys to a hotelier claiming to have seen a spaceship. The wave of sightings led to widespread claims of the UK's biggest mass encounter with UFOs.
In the series, Sian begins her investigation by seeking out the now-grown schoolboys from Broad Haven, Pembrokeshire, whose encounter triggered the entire phenomenon. With access to original case archives and interviews with key figures involved, Sian's journey starts as one of scepticism but quickly evolves as she encounters chilling twists that challenge her understanding of reality.
Produced by Twenty Twenty Productions Ltd for the BBC, the series boasts a strong production team with Ruth Kelly as Director of Programmes, Jo Hughes as Executive Producer, Rory Jackson as Series Director, and Hannah Horan as Series Producer.
'Paranormal: The Village That Saw Aliens' premieres on June 14 with a double bill on BBC Three at 9pm and 9:30pm. It will also air on BBC One Wales at 10:40pm and 11:10pm. All episodes will be available for streaming on BBC iPlayer.
If you missed the first series, 'Paranormal: The Girl, The Ghost & The Gravestone', you can still watch it in full on BBC iPlayer.
