Higgypop Paranormal Entertainment Awards 2019
For the last month we've been asking fans of the paranormal to vote for their favourite paranormal content creators, ghost hunting shows, and investigators of 2019 in the second annual Paranormal Entertainment Awards.

There's been a jaw-dropping 60,000 votes across 15 awards categories recognising all forms of content created for traditional broadcast, online streaming, social and print, as well as celebrating the stars and creators of that content.

The shortlist included some of the most popular paranormal reality television shows of the year and the best supernatural movies, as well the best paranormal investigators of the last twelve months and the podcasts causing a stir in the paranormal world.

We'd like to say a big thank you to all those who voted in this year's awards, you help make the awards a great success. Congratulations to all those who were nominated, whether you won the category or not, you are one of the best in your field. The full result are now available below...

Best Female Ghost Hunter

The best female paranormal investigator to appear in an programme broadcast this year.

gold - Yvette Fielding (Most Haunted)

Yvette's picked up gold for the second year in a row, but the 'Most Haunted' host has done more than just ghost hunting in 2019. Earlier in the year she released her first ever children's book, 'Archie The Ghost Hunter: And The Rising'.

silver - Katrina Weidman (Portals To Hell)

The best male paranormal investigator to appear in an programme broadcast this year.

gold - Karl Beattie (Most Haunted)

Karl, also winning for a second year in the row, fought off tough competition in his category, including from his fellow 'Most Haunted' co-star, demonologist Fred Batt who was also nominated.

silver - Zak Bagans (Ghost Adventures)

The best psychic medium to appear in a programme or to have toured this year.

gold - Chris Fleming

A new category this year and the first win for Chris. Here in the UK Chris is best known for his role as the psychic investigator alongside Barri Ghai and Jayne Harris on Really's 'Help! My House Is Haunted'.

The best supernatural movies to receive cinema release in 2019.

gold - Annabelle Comes Home

Based in 'The Conjuring' universe, the latest movie is the third spin-off to feature the terrifying cursed doll that was at the centre of one of Ed and Lorraine Warrens famous cases.

Best Paranormal Reality Show

The best ghost hunting show to air on television worldwide in 2019.

The long-running show has picked up Best Paranormal Reality Show for a second year running after bringing fans ten new episodes this year, not to mention content on Yvette's and co's new YouTube channel.

gold - Dybbuk Box - True Story Of Chris Chambers

There's be plenty of debate over whether the story is as true as the documentary would have us believe, but either way it's an entertaining film about the dangers of buying a cursed box from the dark web.

Even Lee would admit that it's been a controversial year for him and Linzi of Ghosts of Britain at times, but clearly fans of the ghost hunters are loving their live streams on Facebook.
