About This Video
This video was uploaded to the YouTube channel The Secret Vault in December 2019.
Matthew Williams from Secret Vault got himself a boat in order to explore some of those hard to get to places. He thought a good place to start would be Bristol's underground tunnel network of waterways and lost rivers which are now covered up by the city streets.
Some of these tunnels used to be access ways to get goods into the town centre and are rumoured to be be slave tunnels and were also used by pirates to smuggle contraband.
The main tunnel's the urban explorer ventures into has been explored by other people in the past, but Matthew is hoping to go beyond and the point that a lot of people stop at and explore into the distant reaches beneath Bristol in future videos.
