About This Video
This video was uploaded to the YouTube channel Dead Air in October 2022.
Located in Tallinn's old town in Estonia, this old town house has thousands of tourists taking pictures of its infamous feature - a fake window, painted to look real after the original was blocked up to hide its dark past.
Known as the Devil's Wedding house, it is claimed that during its medievel period, a dark stranger turned up to help a financially broken and sobbing inn keeper that was ready to take his own life. He offered a huge amount of money to use his inn for a special event, but warned the man that anyone who went upstairs to look would die.
Sure enough, as the party went on after midnight, the inn keeper went upstairs, looked inside the door and dropped down dead. He had witnessed The Devil's Wedding.
The house was empty for years, but those who have stayed there talk about strange paranormal occurances. An old woman who wakes people up in the middle of the night to ask for food, a Soviet era airman...its not a suprise that this building was used by the KGB officers during the Soviet occupation of Tallinn.
People report hearing voices, footsteps and 'party' sounds, only to find the upstairs rooms completely empty. Even people sleeping in the apartment as guests have experienced horrific nights of ghostly activity. This just made me want to stay there! I booked it up, flew over to Tallinn, and investigated the building that all of the ghost walks and tour groups stop outside.
About Dead Air
Dead Air was formed in 2009 by University friends Rob Davies and Chris Felton, originally as a radio show in Newcastle based FM station, NE1fm. The show originally was based around encouraging callers to talk about their own experiences and opinions on the paranormal, as well as monthly live broadcasts from some of the North East's scariest places.
Chris works alongside Alan Robson, the host of Metro Radio's Nightowls and Sky TV's 'Scariest Places on Earth', and plans to make a full return to the show in 2021. Rob has been a radio presenter with NE1fm on the music scene, but is now 100% committed to creating paranormal content for the channel.
