Spending The Night Alone In Derby Gaol

About This Video

This video was uploaded to the YouTube channel Dead Air in October 2021.

Built in 1756, Derby Gaol was used to hold prisoners as they awaited their trial, and the subsequently their execution. Executions took place outside of this building.

Paranormal activity has been reported in here for years, even while it was still being used as a gaol. Shadow figures, footsteps, doors banging, objects moving and cold spots.

Special thanks to Richard Felix for allowing permission to spend the night alone in this building.

The gaol is open as a museum and can be booked for private events and paranormal investigations. Richard Felix also does ghost walks around Derby, dates of which can be found on the Derby Gaol Facebook page. There are also monthly execution days hosted by Richard on the last Saturday of each month “Bring the kids.”

About Dead Air

Dead Air was formed in 2009 by University friends Rob Davies and Chris Felton, originally as a radio show in Newcastle based FM station, NE1fm. The show originally was based around encouraging callers to talk about their own experiences and opinions on the paranormal, as well as monthly live broadcasts from some of the North East's scariest places.

Chris works alongside Alan Robson, the host of Metro Radio's Nightowls and Sky TV's 'Scariest Places on Earth', and plans to make a full return to the show in 2021. Rob has been a radio presenter with NE1fm on the music scene, but is now 100% committed to creating paranormal content for the channel.
