The Most Haunted Prison In South Australia: Ghosts Of Adelaide Gaol

Join us as we spend the night ALONE inside the Haunted Adelaide Gaol (Jail), which was one of South Australia's most notorious prisons. While inside, we experience paranormal activity that leaves us shocked.

Our friends at @haunted-horizons gave us the amazing opportunity to spend the night inside the Adelaide Gaol, in search of paranormal evidence. This prison is VERY well known for being haunted, but we had no idea what we was in store for us.

The Old Adelaide Gaol was built in 1841 and operated for 147, before finally closing in 1988. In that time 300,000 prisoners passed through its gates, all serving time for wide variety of crimes. The fact that it operated until 1988 is shocking to us, because the conditions were appalling. Even at the time that it closed, the cells didn't have toilets. The prisoners were forced to "do their business" in buckets, even up until 1988. The cells were overcrowded, the food was almost inedible, cells were not temperature controlled, the prison was infested with vermin and prisoners saw this place as their own personal hell... maybe it was. The records know of over 300 deaths inside the prison which include 45 executions, all by hanging. From 1894 to 1950 the permanent gallows was inside one of the main cellblocks, which we will investigate tonight. All of this anger, rage, heartache, and violence has left many people believing that the Old Adelaide Gaol is one of the most haunted places in South Australia. The evidence we captured on our investigation speaks for itself. The old Adelaide Gaol is the stuff nightmares are made of!
